Keeping your information secure is important to us. To make sure that your personal information is kept private, we will be utilizing either Encrypted/Secure emails or the BenefitU Secure Messaging Portal when sharing information about your benefits. This post gives BenefitU customers instructions on how to open Encrypted / Secure emails that are sent by BenefitU.
To access and open the Encrypted / Secure emails, follow the steps below:
Step 1: In the body of the encrypted / secure email, you will see “read the message” highlighted in blue, open this message and it will open a new window in your internet browser.
Please note: it is not uncommon for these emails to end up in a ‘spam’ or ‘junk’ folders, so please be sure check there if you do not see it in your inbox.

Step 2: The identify the message that reads, “click here for One-time passcode” and open. This will then open a new screen that reads, “Please check your email, enter the one-time passcode,” and click continue.
Please note: This one-time passcode will expire after 15 minutes.

Step 3: Return to your to your email inbox to find the email from Microsoft Office 365 your one-time passcode.

Copy or write down the passcode and enter/type into the box next to the “one-time passcode” in your internet browser window (i.e. Chrome, Safari, etc.) from Step 2.

Step 5: When you click/open using the “continue” button, the email should open and be unencrypted.
